I am a proficient software engineer and bioinformatics scientist with an MSc in Computer Science and PhD in Bioinformatics. I held post-doctoral positions at prestigious institutions, such as the Max Planck Society in Germany and the University of California (Berkeley) and Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory in the US. I have excelled at research in diverse areas, such as data-centered algorithmic and bioinformatics approaches in bacteria, plants, and human disease. As a self-employed consultant since 2019 I have provided consulting services to over 15 international biomedical and pharmaceutical organizations. I have a particular interest in software engineering, bioinformatics tools, cloud computing, cluster analysis, network analysis, databases and data visualization in pharmaceutical and biotechnological areas.
